House Candy HOME was started out of a lifetime LOVE for design. We are passionate about designing homes that look beautiful and function in a way that supports all who live there. We take on projects big and small. We can help you pick a paint color, countertops, design one room, or help you select finishes and furnishings for a full house. We're here to help you have the space you want!
Our process is simple and straightforward. We charge by the hour and share our designer discounts. No hidden fees. No mark-ups. We believe that design should not be intimidating and that everyone deserves to live in a beautiful space. We can help you get there. We like to educate our clients during the process so they understand why suggestions are being made. We do our best to make designing your space an enjoyable process, and dare we say fun!
House Candy HOME offers top notch home staging services that are done by a professional designer. More than half of our staged homes have sold for over asking and a few homes recently sold for six figures over asking! Most of our staged homes also sold in days vs months with multiple offers being a regular occurrence. House Candy HOME is also recognized as a leader in the home staging industry. Our staging has been featured on a national TV commercial, we educate real estate agents in our community on the benefits of home staging, plus we were recently featured on the popular Staged4More podcast.
Your home is in good hands. Design is my passion and I truly enjoy what I do. Designing makes me pinch myself happy. I hold myself to the highest standard of professionalism. My education and life experience make me so well suited ot interior design and home staging. I recently attended the AID Academy from New York. I have my master color consultant certification from Staging Studio and I have taken numerous other home staging and styling courses. I hold a degree in business and public relations from San Jose State. As a student, I studied graphic design, fashion, marketing, advertising, and photography. Professionally, I have always held creative positions as an event planner and art director for a chain of thrift stores. One newspaper referred to me as the “Martha Stewart of Thrift”. For fun, I enjoy home remodeling and decorating projects. I’m always working on something creative. I have an eye for detail and understand what it takes to make your home beautiful and comfortable and I can stage your home to sell for top dollar.

I have lived and owned a home in Aptos since 1995 and I am very involved in our community. Our two children attended Aptos schools and live in the community. I am a founder and sponsor of Carrie's Dream Dance Scholarship Fund and dedicated six years to establish a thriving organization which has raised over $165,000 for local youth dance to date! My husband Scott is a long time surfer and water enthusiast and he spends much of his free-time swimming in the Monterey Bay, and he recently completed a swim across the English Channel. Scott is also president of the Monterey Bay Swimming Association. Scott and I have life long passion for snow skiing and spend as much time as we can on the slopes.
